Oh that weekend...

I totally forgot to write about something that was totally wonderful and just....great.
The first week of May, I was getting terribly burnt out at school. I was just tired of being there. My sweet girls, Natalie and Jenn, were also tired of school and needing to get out. So, we decided to road trip to my house for the weekend. What a great decision that was! Not only did we get out of Jackson, like we needed to, we had a fantastic time doing it.
Friday night, we had dinner with my family, and then I took them to House~Blend, the coffee shop I worked at through high school. While we were there, they got to meet my two best friends in Dickson, Betsy and Erin. The best part was that they all just loved each other and wanted to talk the whole time. After leaving HB, we went home and they convinced me to watch Disturbia. If you know me, you know that scary movies are not my thing, but somehow I can do it with these two.
Saturday, we got up and went to Opry Mills with Betsy and my younger sister and dear friend, Emma. With the five of us, it was bound to be lots of fun. We shopped all day and thoroughly exhausted ourselves, but it was so wonderful. We also made it to the Opryland Hotel, where my fantastic photographer sister took pictures. Here are a few...

This is Jenn, me, and Natalie in the fabulous hotel. It was gorgeous...but not as gorgeous as they are....
This is Betsy, my bestest friend from home. This is the best one of Bet and me from that day, but you just have to see these next two...
This is such an us picture. There is one exactly like this one from the weekend before I moved into college. We feed off of each other so much that it's like a routine for us and I love that.

This one is my favorite. It's not in total focus. We're not looking at the camera.
But this is us. This is how we are with each other. This is what truly makes me happy.

I love that no matter what else happens, no matter how long we are apart, friends are friends. Period. That is what gives me hope and joy this summer-Knowing it that though we are so far apart these three months, we will be back together, loving, laughing, and living life oh so soon. That is what gives my heart hope for my Betsy and me. Chattanooga and Jackson are so far apart, but the fact that she is part of my heart and I am part of hers-That is what will keep us best friends now, this fall, and the rest of our lives.

I have no doubts in the power of our love and friendship.
